Established in Honolulu in 1984, Alphamedia Corporation is a full-service video production company that provides preproduction, production and post-production services to clients seeking high quality video production needs at competitive prices.

Preproduction Services Production services provided by Alphamedia Corporation include meetings with the client to discuss the purpose, concept and budget of the planned video; research; scriptwriting; contracting of freelance operators to supplement the companies on-staff crew; renting of lighting or other equipment to supplement the companies own equipment; scouting and securing of locations; talent scouting and selection; researching and determination of existing music or creation of new music; coordination of permits, etc....

Production Services Production services include the actual shooting of the raw videotape either in a studio or on location. All crew and equipment are provided by Alphamedia Corporation.

Post-Production Services Post-Production services include editing the raw videotape, producing a rough cut of the video, obtaining the client's approval of the rough cut, final editing and production of the finished master videotape, and dubbing of duplicate videotapes.

Company History Alphamedia was established in Honolulu in 1984 as an electronic news gathering (ENG) organization which serviced numerous Japanese national broadcasting organizations, including: Fuji Television, Mainichi Broadcasting System (MBS), Nippon Hoso Kyokai Television (NHK), Nippon Television (NTV), Tokyo Broadcasting Service (TBS), TV Asahi, TV Tokyo, and other well known names in television in Japan as well as Korean national broadcasting organizations such as Munhwa Broadcasting Company (MBC). In addition we service the major local and national broadcasting organizations and their affiliates: ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, ESPN, KGMB , KITV, KHNL and KHON.

Alphamedia was the first video company in Hawai`i to exclusively service Japanese nationals. Alphamedia also rents video equipment to local and mainland production companies shooting on location in the Islands. Eventually, Alphamedia became involved with the production of original videos for a number of local concerns, including businesses, nonprofit organizations and government agencies.

Alphamedia has produced videotaped productions for the following local clients: Alu Like (The Native Hawaiian Library Project, and Ke Ola Pono No Na Kupuna Project), Instructional Television, Kapiolani Medical Center, the Ladies Professional Golf Association, and Moanalua Gardens Foundation, to name just a few.

Alphamedia Corporation is located at 905C Makahiki Way, in Honolulu and is owned by John Saimo, who serves as President. Alphamedia has six full-time employees, two of whom are bilingual in English and Japanese.
